Basic Commerce and Industries, Inc. (BCI) is seeking candidates for a human factors engineering (HFE) position beginning spring 2017. Both entry level and experienced candidates will be considered.
The position will be in Dahlgren, VA. Current areas of work at BCI include new and modernized surface Navy combat systems, Navy unmanned aviation programs, and Marine Corps communications and sensor systems. The focus for this position will be providing HFE and Human Systems Integration support for Navy unmanned aviation programs. Potential duties will include:
Review and development of human-related requirements and specifications
Conducting functional and task analyses
HCI design and development
Planning and execution of interactive usability evaluations
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and possess a Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Applied Psychology, or a related field and possess solid knowledge or experience in systems engineering. Candidates should have strong communication skills, be capable of taking the initiative in identifying and solving problems, and be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Applicants must be US citizens. Applicants will be subjected to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
