| **Project 12: Non-intrusive technologies to measure real time pilot workload** |
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Sarah Sharples, Dr. Paula Moran and Dr. Robert Houghton from the University of Nottingham, on the research topic: non-intrusive technologies to measure real time pilot workload. This project will explore the feasibility and reliability of measures including physiological techniques to capture, monitor and feedback workload of pilots in real time.
The project is part of INNOVATIVE (‘The Integration of Novel Aerospace Technologies’) which is a Marie Skodowska-Curie COFUND Doctoral Programme. INNOVATIVE enables the exploration of game-changing and disruptive technologies, materials, methods and processes for the aerospace sector AND their impact and interactions in the context of the interdependences in the aerospace industry spanning cost, weight, energy and the environment, and the human experience and safety.
This full-time post is available from October 2017 and is offered on a fixed-term 36 month contract. All ESRs must start in October 2017.
